Rule 3. Always use profanity

Well after battling with the servers I now have all the comics that should be up...well up. This isn't much of a rant this week, but I would like to point your eyes to the Adult Swim Website that opens this Friday and that I'm starting school again Wensday. Both things I should be ranting about later this week, but unlike most webcomic going back to school doesn't mean less comics its mean more since AAA also is being used as a school art project. MWAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh by the way there will be no Spoony Bards or Cosplay Wars this week due to large AAAs. - CAM

Dragon Ball, eh.

Well there is a new AAA up, its still Monday. I didn't specify WHEN I would post them on Mondays. I will be posting the newest Spoony Bard in the evening as well so you'll be able to enjoy this new AAA for 24 hours. But Wensday's AAA will still be up at midnight. And I'm also starting to revamp the archives section. Updating the archives manually is a real pain, and yes I know that Keenspace gives me a free updating system but god knows I can't figure it out....yet.
Well today was the premiere of Dragon Ball on Cartoon Network. And all I have to say is....eh. ::shrugs:: It was alright. It had the original score, they didn't meld any boxers onto Goku when he was fishing, the announcer was actually better than DBZs, and the dialouge I think was pretty much the same though I have no subbed DB to have a basis of which were all a plus. But then there were many FUNimationisms in the dialouge, all the perverted humor was taken out which is the backbone of the series at that point, and the violence was curbed of course since the scene were Bulma shoots Goku was taken eventhough they do that same damn thing on every frickin' episode on Superman. Why can Superman be shot, but not Goku!? I mean it has the same effect on either one. And power pole? WTF? I may be being harsh, but I don't know. I just don't like series starring children no matter how powerful they are (except for Narotu that manga still kicks ass). I only watched Dragon Ball out of morbid curiousity. Though another thing I might nit pick at right now is that I don't like how Cartoon Network is on the verge of turning Toonami into the "Goku two hour timeslot". With all this damn Dragon Ball stuff there is hardly any room for new series to show up on Toonami (though I'd rather new animes show up on Adult Swim now) and absolutely no room for good shows like Outlaw Star, Big O, and Gundam Wing that are just slightly old. I bet those shows could get the same kind of ratings they did when they were new still. And no, I didn't just say Outlaw Star was a good show. You should get your eyes checked. Your seeing things.

Note: Today's All American Anime has bene delayed until Saturday. I'm exhausted and it'll replace this weeks Cosplay Wars which by the way me and Almasy have come up with a neat idea for it. Eh, no one reads this comic yet anyway.

Welcome!

I made a new website! How's that for an update!? Ok, so its nearly two weeks late most of the comic strips on Keenspace even get this far, plus I have a niftier looking site than most as well. But don't get me wrong there are some good comics on Keenspace. Well there is not just one All American Anime this monday but 24! Plus one Spoony Bard and Cosplay Wars, and a 6-page preview of The Black Wolves. Though let me apologize ahead of time for any bad grammar, browser unfriendly strips, and for how crappy numbers 1-18 look. I'm still learning and no one can really deny that I am getting better. So bear with me as I tread water and finally get something right. But really I'm most likely over exaggerating, an artist's worst critic is himself. I'm hoping to outweigh quality with content.......

Though I am really sorry about how the first page of Cosplay Wars I was trying to reference that famous scene from one of Spike and Vicious' fights and things went horribly wrong. My original plan was to just gray scale it, but I felt so sorry for the page I colored it. Well nonetheless Cowboy Bebop is the SHIZNIT. Intergalatic bounty hunters, 70's popculture references, and a dog! You just can't beat that! Outlaw Star tried doing something like and has gotten nowhere until Cartoon Network showed it. And now its Cowboy Bebop's turn! Though most fans of any anime moan when they hear that their favorite show is going to be shown on Cartoon Network because they know that its going to be butchered by the censors. But I'm actually optimistic. Why? Because Cartoon Network is sticking it in their new adult lineup called "Adult Swim" there the show will have a TV14 rating meaning that the only thing that should be missing from the series is the nudity. Though its not exactly what everyone wants, but to me this is a huge step treating an anime as if it were intended for adults than children is unprecedented.

I take this as a sign of hope, because now shows like Evangelion, Kenshin, or Trigun has a place now that may actually air them. And I'd really like to see Kenshin get on TV, because I know it would be popular if it did. And if the series gained popularity in America, Sony may go and actually complete the TV series. It is an amazing thing that the American market now actually have an effect on the Japanese market....in anime that is. Outlaw Star and Big O had very poor ratings in Japan, but in America they got very good ratings and now they are a big deal. In fact due to Tenchi being on Cartoon Network Viz is printing its manga again and there is a new OAV coming this spring to finish the first one. Not to mention there is another Kenshin OAV coming out soon too, but I know nothing about it.

So Cowboy Bebop airs Midnight on September 2nd. I have my hopes high, but many are still doubtful. So let's find out together.......

P.S. There will be no Cosplay Wars this week due to the wierd time the site has opened. I need a whole week to get a page finished along with everything else....
